Tajinder Sangha, was fired in 2012 from his job at VPD as an officer. In 2014 he introduced himself as a VPD officer presenting his VPD business card, while Yoshnika was at work. He stalks here, threatened to endanger her life and career 2015 untill day ongoing. Yoshnika reported to VPD all of Tajinder Sangha's criminal codes and police act violations. Vancouver Police Department has not let the matter reach the crown and judge, in order for Yoshnika to obtain a peace bond and a restraining order nor has Vancouver Police Department charged this individual. In order to obtain justice, Yoshnika reported this to OPCC and complained about the officer and Vancouver police department not obtaining her the restraining order and charge the individual until date. Instead Yoshnika has been constantly framed in public, she was falsely arressted infront of her mother, beaten in public and beaten in jail as well. The Vancouver Police Department officers had no right to use excessive force on a girl who hardly weighs 110 pounds, they also dint return her cellphone upon release followed by locking her out the email where she had uploaded all the evidence which will help her obtain justice in court.
After surviving the incidents, her parents worried for her well being called her back to India, where she rested and recovered from the traumatizing incidents. In 2017, Yoshnika felt better health wise and returned to Canada to resume her life which had fallen apart due to the incidents. On landing back in Canada, Yoshnika started receiving teaching job opportunities from various pathway colleges in Vancouver, where she taught various business-related courses. Along with her job, Yoshnika struggled to dig into reports in relation to the incidents which occurred in 2015.Upon filling a complaint about VPD's negligence on the 12 west night club incident and negligence of VPD on reporting the impersonating officer with the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner (O.P.C.C), lead to another incident which lead into a personal injury claim on VPD. (The police act- Vancouver police dept- Section 86 and section 88)As all humans have a limit to their tolerance, Yoshnika started to seek ways to find justice for the wrong done to her. In order to obtain justice, along with her job she read law books on her time and filled civil claims against the defendants. She also filled a petition for the accident in 2015, her consistency ensured she got the initial judge’s decision quashed, which has given her a fair chance to be heard in court. She did this with brief assistance from the court staff and attorney general, "I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without the help of the attorney general, she guided me throughout this long and tedious process.", says Yoshnika.
